New Orange Pi Zero, Orange Pi 3 and OPI-PC2 boards leaked, featuring AllWinner H2 and H5

EDIT: The new boards have been unveiled, and are now available for sale. Full technical specifications here:

A few months ago, Steven Zhao from XunLong announced that Orange Pi Zero would come soon for $5.9 in a post on the official forum:

We will have OPI Zero with 5.9$.
We will have OPI PC2 with 20$(64 bit ARM H64 1G ram + WIFI/BT VS RPI3+ GbE)

However, no further information was available until recently, when some leaks from XunLong labs appeared on Armbian forums:

The two new boards, very probably Orange Pi 3 and Orange Pi PC 2, are powered by an AllWinner H5 SoC. Here are some specs gathered from the above pictures by tkaiser, from ARMbian:
  • Orange Pi 3:  AllWinner H5 (quad core Cortex-A53), 2GB DRAM, Gigabit Ethernet (RTL8211E), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 (RTL8723BS)
  • Orange Pi PC 2: AllWinner H5 (quad core Cortex-A53), 1GB (or, unlikely, 2GB) DRAM, Gigabit Ethernet (RTL8211E), no WiFi

Neither OPI-3 nor OPI-PC2 seem to have onboard eMMC flash memory, but, as tkaiser suggests:

Currently all Orange Pi with onboard eMMC have a ‘Plus’ in their name so by looking at names and the lower PCB side I would expect we’ll see both ‘OPi 3 Plus’ and ‘OPi PC 2 Plus’ eMMC equipped later this year

Yesterday Igor, ARMbian developer, released two other pictures of Orange Pi Zero:

The board measures slightly less than 50x50mm (based on its components’ known sizes), and some specs can be determined by the picture:

  • AllWinner H2+ SoC (quad core ARM Cortex-A7, Mali-400 GPU, OpenGL ES 2.0)
  • Video encoding (H2 SoC): Supports multi-format [email protected] video decoding, including H.265/HEVC, H.264 BP/MP/HP, VP8, MPEGl/2, MPEG4 SP/ASP GMC, H.263 including Sorenson Spark, WMV9/VC- l,JPEG/MJPEG, etc • Supports H.264 [email protected] video encoding
  • 512MB RAM
  • 10/100 Ethernet (based on SoC datasheet)
  • GPIO: 26+13 pin headers
  • MicroSD card slot
  • USB host + OTG (power only?), 4-pin serial header

An u.FL antenna connector is also present, but no particular wireless module is present on the board.
